If you’ve ever spent hours scrolling through the internet looking for the perfect project only to end up with a dozen open tabs and no yarn on your hook, you’re in the right place.
While Crafting Happiness is my home for designing my own unique designs, TheYarnCrew is where I step into my role as a curator and community builder.
I use this website to find and share the very best patterns from other designers all over the world.
I know how precious your crocheting time is, and I believe you shouldn’t have to waste it hunting for quality instructions.
Why trust my curated lists?
I don’t just pick random patterns. I’ve written two books and have been a designer for many years, so I have a “designer’s eye.” I can tell if a pattern is good just by looking at it!
I don’t read every single word of the patterns before I share them, but I am very careful. I check:
- The Reputation: I know who the best designers are in the crochet world.
- The Photos: I look closely at the pictures to make sure the project is built well.
- The Reviews: I check what other people are saying to make sure the pattern is easy to follow.
I also share some of my own designs here—the ones that are a bit different from my usual baby blankets!
Helping new designers grow
I love pushing new designers forward. There are so many talented people out there who need a bigger audience, and I love helping them get noticed.
I pride myself on being honest and helpful:
- Giving Credit: I always make sure everyone knows exactly who designed the pattern.
- No “Link Jumping”: I hate it when you have to click ten different things to find a pattern. I give you a direct link so you can get straight to work.
- Sending Traffic: By sharing the direct links, I am sending lots of new visitors and crochet fans directly to the designers’ own websites. It is a great way for them to get more popular!

A little bit about me
I live in the sunniest part of the south of England in a studio by the sea. I live with my partner and my three cats: Kitty, Munchie, and PC.
Because I used to work on big cruise ships, I learned how to be very organised. I use that “logic” to help me pick the best projects for you.
In the summer, I crochet in my garden. In the winter, when England gets too gray and cold, I pack up my yarn and travel to sunny places around the world to find new ideas.
